Entergy Corporation has finalized the sale of its Palisades Power Plant to Holtec International, marking a crucial step in its exit from the nuclear merchant power sector. Alongside completing the sale of the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant and engaging in agreements to sell its interests in the Indian Point plants, Entergy is pivoting towards utility operations in the Gulf South. The company plans to amplify its renewable energy capacity with an ambitious goal of adding over 5,000 megawatts by 2030, propelling it toward its net-zero emission target by 2050.
