In light of heightened tensions in the Gulf, a diplomatic outreach plan is being developed to establish a security dialogue under UN auspices for the Strait of Hormuz. Efforts to stabilize relations include reopening Kuwaiti-Iraqi consular channels and enhancing media monitoring to curb inflammatory rhetoric. Although recent UN vetoes by Russia and China pose challenges, regional actors continue to seek manageable risks rather than immediate escalation.
