Mojtaba Khamenei is the son of the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei. Following his father's death, he has been appointed as the new Supreme Leader of Iran. He is often characterized in reports as holding a more extreme political stance than his predecessor and has begun communicating through state media.
