Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) announced strong first-quarter earnings for 2022, with adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of 30 cents, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 25 cents by 20%. Total revenues increased 22.9% to $5.8 billion, thanks in part to favorable weather conditions, as the company reaffirmed its adjusted EPS guidance for the year between $1.07 and $1.13. PG&E also reported an operating income of $536 million and acknowledged a $135 million tax benefit associated with the Fire Victim Trust.
