In response to escalating violence against civilians in conflict zones, military installations are set to implement lightly armed security detachments with clear IHL-compliant engagement protocols. This strategy combines enhanced perimeter security with humanitarian corridors and civil–military liaison teams to monitor civilian welfare and ensure adherence to the Geneva Conventions. The aim is to substantially reduce risks to non-combatants while maintaining the integrity of military operations.
